Old Vic

A quick iPad sketch of the auditorium and stage – Old Vic, August 2012, where I’m doing an art residency. The theatre is ‘dark’ for a week, EG no show is being performed, so painters and decorators are touching up the auditorium and boxes, electricians are fixing the wall sconces and chandeliers, and repairs are being made to the back of the stage. My blog will go ‘dark’ for a while now while I concentrate on this residency. Catch you later.

It’s the first of August. Here’s a picture about the sweetness of summer.

Asleep on the Train, final

I finished an iPad painting which took several drafts. Feel slightly bereft now that it’s ‘gone’ from me and onto the ‘paper’.

Bietole

One of my favourite vegetables – I think it’s a type of chard, but the Italians call it Bietole (pronounced Bee-ay-tol-ay). I finally got an iPad to draw on, and it’s my first picture using the Brushes app with  ’Just Mobile’ pen. Is the iPad better to draw on than the iPhone? About ten times better – it’s truly amazing.
