A quick iPhone picture – an Arawak from the Caribbean tribe, who were peaceful, artistic and skilled. It’s also the name of a 1960s perfume created by my French grandfather. He and my grandmother left Paris for the Caribbean and started the ‘Parfumerie des Antilles’ which they sold in their store ‘C & M Caron’ in Charlotte Amalie.
